The material

The necessary material

  1. Software Mosaïque Deluxe
  2. Grid for gluing
  3. Mesh
  4. Gummed paper (*)
  5. Glue
  6. Cutter and iron rule

Printing Grids

This mosaic is cutted into 9 grids. A grid describe the composing of a given number of tiles
(as an example, a grid of 10 x 10 tiles).

Grids are generated with the software Mosaic Deluxe. The software can generate
grids for the different tile size and forms available on the market.

Tile laying
Grid joining and Grid of installation printed by the software

Tiles are placed in the grid of gluing in function of the arrangement given by the printed grids.
Each grid is located under the grid of gluing.
Numbers corresponds to the different tile colours.
With a grid of gluing, tiles are very regularly aligned.

Mesh gluing
Mesh allowing to connect the squares

The mesh is glued and then it is placed on tiles.
On each grid is placed a label for guiding the tiler.

Printing before building

A program option prints the mosaic to its true dimension (before its building)
to see the final mosaic in situ.
